for the second time in the last month another driver hits a very well marked low bridge... All because his GPS told him to take this route. Ended up being summonsed for that and also log violations according to other news sites.

But my GPS said this is the way to go...

The article says he thought he could make it, I say he did make it-but not without some "minor" damage. lol

It might not been his fault. He might not been able to read English and the signs were in English. They should have been in Spanish, Russian, French and all the other languages. I mean, you can't blame the driver, the government should have put a "translator" in the truck with him.
rachi, pattyj, KillingTime and 1 other person Thank this. -
Grouch Thanks this.

You guys read up on the story about some woman in Ontario whose GPS told her to drive her car into Lake Huron last week? Situational awareness is severely lacking these days.

This bridge seems to get at least 3 or 4 every year.

I linked to their next story about the other bridge strike on the same bridge last week. Guy just kept driving after destroying his trailer. Unreal...

Anyone been near this bridge? Is there just one sign or there are more before, just curious.
