The single post ones do, on the driver side with too big of an antenna. On the passenger side they just loosen.

The 2 bolt ones only do if you're an idiot who over torques the #### out of everything.

I just picked up a 4ft Firestik II, the tunable tip kind. Since this gets the load up the highest and I'd 5/8 wave we'll see how this works. The 5fter which I can't find, would have moved around too much. The 4 should be just the right height to avoid most hazards but still have the load above the cab.

Short fiberglass antennas are extremely inefficient. I'd stick with the browning. The load is already higher than anything that's reflective. The roof cap is fiberglass.

Can you explain what you mean?

We are working on the mount again for the Cascadia and ran into an issue with a few things. Stripping out the holes wasn't one of them.

    Rabbi covered it..
Been thinkin...If you could merge a version of that bottom styled bracket with the outback style used on the petes,it might help these cascadias some..It will get the ant further away and higher up(coils)..It will end up something along the lines of the classic styled big truck type of mounting..

Think ill look at doin some bonding on my cascadia...Just not sure of what to bond,so little pure metal on these things..Gotta get rid of some of the friggin static and the noise from my gps charger/hid's and the sirius reciever(under dash type)

OK thanks Rabbi, I see two issues we solved with each of them so I will post what's what on my pet project in a little bit.

By the way, I have two mounts that are being sold and each of them have a lot to be desired - they look like the second pic.
