    have a 2016 evolution eith 9300 miles.

There has been a loud squeek coming from the front axle on driver side. I have been to our company shop and a dealer. Both times they just lube everything possible. It will go away for the day and come back the next worse than ever.

    Hopefully this audio link works.

I don't know about your truck, but my Western Star does that when it is cold out. It turned out to be the rubber blocks that support the hood and rest on metal brackets on my firewall. I put grease on those.
Just a thought for you to consider.

Yup. Audio was good. All I can say is WOW!!! And, as previous poster said, put grease on the little rubber tits that the hood sits on and the rubber parts on the top of the hood. I have a Western Star and always grease them. Make opening the hood much easier.

    Those have been greased.

Freightliner dealer said the truck is just "breaking in"

I've never had any truck sound like that, especially a new one.

Does the sound go away in the rain? Water usually makes lots of squeaks go away

It's been pretty dry lately. I'll check it out during next rain.

I've thought about going to the beacon and getting the entire bay sprayed down and go from there

    Bump.

Went thru the same motions again.

Shop greased it, went away for the day and came back worse than ever

    Hopefully someone has an idea.

After 3 more shop visits, freight liner in OKC figured it out. Apparently, these 16 series have a new spring design. The bushings have no spacer and cause them to dry out very fast. The only 2 solutions are to grease them when they dry out (about 2 weeks) or get the companies freight liner rep to go up the chain for a permanent solution.
