I think they are called Mesa CB Shop. Anybody have any experience w/ these guys? Would like to get my modulation checked so im not over modulating and check that my dead key is all the way at 4 watts. Also need antenna tuned to get my SWR under control. Any advise on FL area cb shops is also welcome.

I had a cobra done by them with connex board, bigger finals, echo board, and box installed on the back that supposedly bumped it up to 100 plus watts, hooked it up in my 2010 Mack Pinnacle and it immediately blew smoke out of the back. Granted these upgrades were a few hundred dollars and I haven't gotten 5 minutes of use out of it. I took it back and they said it was fine but I'm not so sure about hooking it back up in a truck.

I could have done something wrong for all I know, or maybe the Mack wasn't suitable for the watts, prior to that they did 2 radios for me that worked absolutely great, my problem was never being able to get my truck to them to have them in their words "properly" install it for me. That's what I can tell of you my 3 experiences.

BTW, grew up and lived many years in Inverness, and my best job ever was working for Global Tire Recycling over in the industrial park.

Another vote for 10-4 CB Shop in Ocala. I've had work done there for years and never a problem.

The CB shop in Wildwood FL behind the 75 Chrome shop is pretty good if you go to the second shift. I know the owner and his brother and one other tech is day shift. Second shift man is a RCI factory authorized repair man.

Craig, That must have been during the day , say before 4 pm.One of the men during the day is the owners brother. They do have a dry sense of humor too. It may have missed you. I will let the owner know of your experience. He may be able to correct it.. for you after the fact I am afraid.
