I 'v been searching for an answer quite a while ..
Truck setting for a few month did not start.
Replaced ECM harness after finding many bad wires.
Still get the No Engine Controller 128s254o4 on my dash..
Found the wire sensor into the turbo boost toasted & replaced.
Opened the ECM , the battery was bad, a small resistor has been replaced.
I checked all wires in the fuse box or any I can reach into it
The only difference now I get is a blinking orange check engine & ECM no response message.
Any suggestion would be appreciated .

Its very possible the brains just died, might be time to search a salavge yard, wrong wire goes bad or crosses is all it takes to fry the eprom, cpu or storage.
Exiled Thanks this. -
What engine? ISX?
254 is shut off valve!
If u see MID 128 Sid 254 message - dashboard communicates with ECM by J1708/ -
By the way what is 128 ECU fault code for Those engine, I seen many on other trucks with ABS warning -
Ok, DDEC-V ore IV? Both are powered from battery box and there are ECM power supply fuses there. Wires run along dr/side frame rail, and usually rubbed with clamps and ties.;
So start checking ECM power supply with DVOM and headlamp bulb (under load).
Also check engine interface wiring (check from metal twist connector on firewall to ECM connector).
Check J1708 datalink twisted wires.Exiled Thanks this.
