Compound turbo setups?? Anyone done one??

    So im curious has anyone done a compound turbo setup on a single turbo motor? N14, 3406, 12.7 ect Im curious because i installed a compound kit on my ram and holly cow does that truck tow and make good power now. So im wondering if one has been done for the big class 8 trucks. If so what were the results? I know the acert cats are twin turbo and everyone has there opinion on them. Im talking on pre egr and emission motors for guys who want good pulling power over a single big turbo.

    The Cummins N14 475 HP back in the mid '80s was a twin compound turbo but it wasn't much of a success.

    I believe the twin turbo mechanicals were 475 ntc. The n14 is and electronic motor. Started around 1995 ish

    Isn't the ACERT Cat a compound turbo? Doesn't it build a lot of boost, with little to show for it?

    That's pretty sweet. Where I live I don't have to worry bout emissions. Even on my ram truck with the compound setup and tuning my truck won't roal coal it's tuned very well.

    Ya the acert is. I know those are and wasn't to interested in them more the pre emissions motors.
