Cruise issue with Pete 587

So, yersterday while I was on my way back, my cruise suddenly stopped working. Everytime I would try to set it, I'd get a message " Press and Release clutch cruise settings". I did that, still getting that message. I don't double clutch, be course it's literally impossible. I need to put my whole weight on it just to press it. How can I fix it, without taking something apart?

 

Yeah, it was something electrical. After couple of days without cruise , I tried it and it worked. This truck had a lot of electrical problems, like every time I turn highbeams on, my radio would restart. But I took it to the shop and it works great now. Even my regen is actually getting hot enough this time.
