They keep improving every year but the 12 and 13 are probably about the same. Have you looked at the XE spec models? 455hp
I think the iShift has a 750k mi warranty, the longest in the business as far as I know.

The one I'm looking at is 425 or 455 with shift under 450k. I haul a dry van normally under 30k so I don't care for too much power.

With isx15, I would recommend after 2013 isx15. Less issues than the 2010-2013 engines. It burns more def but more mpg than older isx15.

Will someone enlighten me about the rear ratios. I haul dry vans max 44000lb. How much it cost to reconfigure it and horse power to ratio comparison.

Dont buy 2011-2013, because they had ceramic plungers in fuel pump cm2250 models. Caused a lot engine failures. After 2013 they fixed problem in cm2350.
Volvo d13 have are known with injector problems.

Regear costs $5-7K from what I've priced. I was interested in changing my 3.58 to 3.08

I hear this alot about the 2010 to 13 models, I have a 2011 International Prostar with a Cummins 450, @ 1275 rpms at 65mph it gets between 7.5 and 8 fully loaded. The newer cummins that Knight has has is a 2016 with eaton auto at 1220rpm at 65 gets about .01 - .02 mpg better. It runs of DEF where mine dont have it. Also had no issues with the emision systems of the 2011 in 200k, now I will say maintenance is key on a cummins. Dont skimp on it.

this is my second Volvo with Volvo engine 465 (13 speed), never have been on side of road, very reliable engines. Now with 35k Lbs. doing 7.5 miles per gallon. Maintenance: Chicago area with Russian mechanic, the best and affordable labor rates.
