private schools will not hurt you they just want the money. You will be hard pressed to find a company that will take touch you though.

 

I would think it's easier finding a school then a trucking company.This DUI happened a yr ago?I would first see what the motor carriers qualifications are.

A school isnt gonna tell you that you may not find a job due to a recent DUI...they just want your money. They will take you and your money with open arms

Getting a job you may find alot tougher.......

 

There are a ton of schools out there. There is a sub forum on that. Don't blow 2k-6k if you don't have a job before. The schools will say oh this company and that company will take you. All the while just making there paycheck.

 

Google for cdl schools in your area. There's a couple dozen in Georgia.
With that DUI the school may or may not, require a pre-hire letter from a trucking company. They don't want you to graduate and then say no one will hire you.
Carolina Cargo will probably give you a pre-hire letter if you need it.

 

Schools will take all your money. Entertain you for a few months playing trucker.

That DUI is going to destroy any chance you have at hiring on to actual over the road trucking.

 

Carolina Cargo will hire him; they don't go by what's on their website. Hope he likes California, because he will do west coast turnarounds back to back; that's what they do. Lots of frozen chickens to west coast and produce back to east coast, then repeat. 3 trips then home time, then another 3 trips then home time.
