The last couple trips I have found that if I am doing a long hake down a hill and my Rpms are a little high (between 1800 and 2000) my oil pressure will drop enough to cause engine to go into limp mode. If I keep Rpms under 1700. No issues. Any ideas? Anything I need to worry about?

Those are pretty high rpms not sure why oil pressure would drop unless your so low on oil, the oil is being used for engine brake then sets a low oil warning off

You should use less rpms going down hill because in the winter if trailer ever starts to slide you can't pull the trailer back behind truck without shifting gears. The time it take to get next gear maybe to late to stop a jackknife. You want low rpm going down hill.

most likely the O-rings for the oil supply in your eng brake.

    Is your Jake sometimes inconsistent?

    Sorry. It's a d16. 625.

Kb3mmx. Can you explain inconsistent? As in engine braking power?

Yes exactly. Failing orings on D16 can make the brake not work or intermittent.....or with reduced effectiveness. I've had this happen on mine. Bet it's your Orings are bad...

That sounds like a winner. Are these orings hard to change?
