What if you have just the CDL A permit with tanker/hazmat for now?

Is it a learners permit, or temporary paper license?

    Thanks BikerDave,
Anyone have any input on waiting to renew my med card when I get there? Also going to stay in a RV park. Question is what to use for a address on Driver License? Going to get a po box at mail boxes ect or the like. Can I use that as a address?

Its a good possibility that some of the larger oil companies may hire you for a frac crew with a learners permit

A med card no matter where it is from should still be good. Im not too sure about the P.O. box Some states do allow it. Im not sure about Tx. You can probably find that info on the DPS website

My husband and I just moved to Texas and stayed at an RV park for 1-month before we rented a house. Week 2 at the RV park he got his Texas drivers license using the RV parks address. The gals at the office had no issue with him doing this and held our mail that came in for us until we picked it up. The PO Box required proof of residency, which we didn't have yet so that wasn't a good route for us. Anyway, check with the RV park you are going to and tell them what you need to do -- they might be able to help you in the same way. Good luck!

Thanks for the info, Been researching how to make this work. Did not think the park would do that.
