One of my friends has small fleet of DD15 equipped Cascadias. All trucks have Davco 482 installed before main filters. They use Fleetguard FS19915 and Donaldson P551011 filters. The owner says Donaldson filters last about 45k-55k m. Fuel level will go up to middle of filter and will stay there when Fleetguard is installed. Even if you drive 100k m fuel level will not go up anymore. According to manufacturer the filter must be changed when fuel level is near to marked line. Now I am thinking that
    a. Fleetguard is cheating and they are not 7 micron,
    b. filters are not always 7 micron, in some point they became 50 or higher micron.
    Gentlemans your opinions please.

Stick with Donaldson or Davco filters....can't go wrong. You want them to clog...it means they are filtering!

I think the Fleetguard filters are sub standard in the Davco units and not worth risking the injection system.

Yeah, I have to side with Donaldson filters. Been using them for years with good results.
