I got around to doing something ive want to do for some time and put a fuel temp gauge in. Installed on the inlet side of my first filter.
This is on a 01/pete with a 6nz cat. Truck stays in a warm shed every night. But it amazes me how fast the fuel will warm up.
Fuel temp, why I look for unblended fuel

Fuel started at 36 sitting in the shed. Idled for an hr while I loaded then drove about 10 miles and took pic. Outside temp is closer to 8. It jumped up a bunch sitting in line here
-
Could that also be wired into the fuel tank? I know dumb question. But I prefer to use the #2 and watch the outside temperature and add Howes as necessary. I have used only 2 bottles so far this winter.

Yeah the temp probe could be installed in the tank if you've got a hole on the bottom for it.
-
I think I'll either do it the way you did or not at all.
-
Mine only had 10ft of cable from probe to gauge. Couldn't have reached the tank, besides I wanted to know the temp right into the filter

Doesn't anyone make a non-digital style that more matches gauges from 25 years ago?
I hear those Telteks are good but the look reminds me of an old alarm clock I had from Radio Shack back in the 80s! -
