I work for Garmin as the product manager for our dēzl GPS devices. Basically, I'm responsible for listening to our customers and coming up with new innovative products. I just started in the position and am excited to listen to your feedback so I can create the best trucking GPS products in the world. Our dēzl line has been great for us, but we are still seeking improve our products and I would love as much feedback as possible. Here's your chance to get your ideas implemented in our products.

    Thanks,
    Jon

Jon, my wife gave me a Garmin 255W/455W (can't remember which) a number of years ago for Christmas. I wasn't sure I would even take it with me but to keep her happy I did. I wouldn't be without it now.

Not sure what your truck friendly units have on them but I like to use the "back/second screen" that shows my average speed, time stopped, actual speed (in large numbers) and things like that.

adjustable lead time for warning notifications
    aux audio output
if not already able, ability to import .gpx files like my Zumo

I am using a 3.5" zumo550 from my Harley and my eyes aren't that young anymore. I have no experience with a 5" screen but are there any plans on coming out with a 7" screen?

I would love to see a unit with a 7 inch screen like the Rand McNally. I had a small non truck Garmin a few years ago and loved it. I finally just wore it out.

I just wan to throw it out there that not all of us want a "big screen"...keep the smaller screens around too.

I have a 465t and I like it...being able to update it with red light camera locations is a big help.

I don't know what the newer, bigger models have on them...but it would be nice to be able to turn the screen off (at night), and still get the voice commands.

I think frequent truck related updates should be available for downloading, so drivers will know situations like longer term construction bypasses, bridges closed, extended avalanche clean-up etc.....
