Hi guys, I am moving to Idaho from California next week and just had a question or two. I'm with Schneider currently and am transferring up there to work out of Spokane, Wa. But live in Idaho. So I know I need to get my license in Idaho, but my main question is,
Will Schneider let me use a truck and trailer to test with? Anyone heard of a mega doing that?
Is there anything special I might need to know about getting licensed in Idaho or getting a license in another state in general?
I probably have more questions, but I'll have to ask later...time to get to work lol.
Thanks in advance!
Getting CDL in Idaho? Will SNI let me use truck for test?

Does Idaho require you to retest? I thought only IL required that. Most states transfer everything except HazMat as far as I knew. And if it is required, I highly doubt they would let you use company equipment.
1guy1camera Thanks this. -
Oh, maybe not? That would be awesome if I didn't have to retest, lol. I guess I'll give ITD a call to make sure, but you have given me some hope
Thanks AM14!
Also, hope everyone has a good Memorial Day weekend, stay safe! -
Yea, definitely give them a call on Tuesday. Maybe there are more states that require it than I thought but hopefully it's just a simple out of state transfer. I couldn't find much info on Google about it, but I'm sure some Idaho drivers will be chiming in shortly. You might want to edit your title so they see it.

If your driving record is clean, no re-test except written.
AM14 and 1guy1camera Thank this. -

1guy1camera and AM14 Thank this. -
Wow, thanks guys. That is good news, my record is squeaky clean
