Good deal?

    I founf a 2007 utility multi temperature 53' reffer carrier unit 17,400hrs.asking $14,900 pictures all look great one owner ftom d.o.t.trucking will be used for LTL good bad deal?

    I'd inspect it in person. See ho many times it's been washed out, reefers get water logged and the insulation swells up making them heavier than if they weren't washed out as much. Check the compressor and see if there are any cracks on the lines. Pictures are great but seeing the potential problems in person can wind up saving you a lot of money and headaches in the future. See when the belts in the unit were last changed...that will tell you how the trailer was cared for in the past. Is the plastic on the unit housing all present and not cracked? --- all this needs to be evaluated in person.

    It is a good price if the trailer and engine are in good condition...

    New multi temp reefers are like 100,000 usd. I think they weigh about 2000 pounds more than a single temp unit.
