I'm in New Jersey, lucky me.

I delivered at around 1800, so no chance for a parking spot anywhere nearby. The closest TA had no spots left in reserved parking, so I didn't even bother to go there to find out if there was a space available.
Luckily I'm able to spend the night at the customer site. The yard dog was kind enough to point me to a corner where I won't be in the way.

These past couple days I've only had very short runs. Pick up and deliver the same day, 150-300 miles. Pallets.

It seems the driver shortage doesn't apply to Swift. We are short on loads.
Last night I was in a small truck stop in New York. One other Swift truck came in an hour or so after me. It was still sitting there when I left, and I waited nearly 24 hours before the pplan.

    Paulsboro, NJ at the TA.

After waiting several hours this morning for a pplan I decided to leave there. I needed a Walmart trip and I didn't want to sit at the customer another night.
It's nearly 1700 now, and still no pplan.

Moose ...have you tried calling the Jonestown planners directly? They've done well by me.

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

    Greencastle, PA at TA.

I've got loads, but also a lot of time in between.
My last load (that got me here) was supposed to pick up last night at 2200 - 2359. I adjusted the times and the times were refused by the system. A few minutes later the planner adjusted the time window and resent the pplan, since it was preloaded and 170 miles away and didn't need to deliver until any time today.
I wasn't about to pick up a load at 2200 in NJ with no place to park, especially having been up all day.

That load was stacked with my current load, which doesn't pick up until 1800 tomorrow. That is the early of the window. This one goes to TN, and I'm happy to be headed a bit west.
I'll show up by 1600 hoping for an early pick up. It is also preloaded, so I might get lucky.

    It's another very short week.

At the Pilot/Denny's/Casino in Fernley NV off of I-80. Passed some hot springs on the way here...thought something was on fire at first LOL.

That bar looks tempting. If only I was on a 34...

Well, I did luck out with this load. I got to the shipper at 1430 and it was ready for me. In and out in less than 30 minutes.

I'm at the Petro in Racine, VA tonight. The place was packed when I got here at 1710 with only a few spots left.

All truck stops along I-81 fill up early; is just that the Petro there in Raphine is huge.

FYI, Smiley's across the street claims to have"The Best Dang BBQ in VA". I have no cause to dispute his claim. :)

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

The Texas style is good even though I've never had anything like it at home in Texas . Smiley's and Zion Crossroads on I-64 have the best fried chicken in the country .
