Wondering how you guys are making out down south with the weights now. Just finished a few days of test loads with GM’s , and man is it gonna be tough to scale a full load in the south. The Blazers are gonna be Max 6 to a load and you don’t even want to know how the hummers scale

Huh, here's something I bet nobody considered. A new EV Blazer tips the scales at almost 6,000lbs. I never knew of a parking lot that had to worry about weight hauling Yugos,, but here you go.

As long as they don’t try to pull the same crap they do with wanting the 2500’s hauled for the same price as the 1500’s I will haul them. More weight equals more pay or someone else can haul it.

Man Im so glad I have the gig I have because those heavy ##* vehicles will absolutely tear up a trailer over time.

i had a pre-owned manager in Pueblo call me to ask if I’d bring a pickup truck to him on my next run. Yes sure, send me the gate pass. I get the gate pass, a crew cab long bed F450 Lariat. I called him back and said sorry, but that’s the weight of 3 Subaru Crosstreks that I normally haul. I told him I’d bring it but the cost would be $1,275. I think he had a stroke. I didn’t take the truck. #WeightMatters

I am right there with you, I routinely don’t want anything over 1/2 ton on my rig but when it pays I will haul it. Those two dually’s paid double what 2 1/2 tons going to the same city paid. Occasionally in the past I have been assigned 2500 long bed 4x4’s diesels weighing nearly the same as these dually’s that paid what a 1500 did. If the 1500 paid crazy money I probably would have taken one for the team. In my opinion any 2500 or larger should be classified as a commercial vehicle which would bump it up to the higher rate and then more of us would deliver them. IMG_8606.png
