Wondering how you guys are making out down south with the weights now. Just finished a few days of test loads with GM’s , and man is it gonna be tough to scale a full load in the south. The Blazers are gonna be Max 6 to a load and you don’t even want to know how the hummers scale

Huh, here's something I bet nobody considered. A new EV Blazer tips the scales at almost 6,000lbs. I never knew of a parking lot that had to worry about weight hauling Yugos,, but here you go.

Man Im so glad I have the gig I have because those heavy ##* vehicles will absolutely tear up a trailer over time.
i had a pre-owned manager in Pueblo call me to ask if I’d bring a pickup truck to him on my next run. Yes sure, send me the gate pass. I get the gate pass, a crew cab long bed F450 Lariat. I called him back and said sorry, but that’s the weight of 3 Subaru Crosstreks that I normally haul. I told him I’d bring it but the cost would be $1,275. I think he had a stroke. I didn’t take the truck. #WeightMattersLite bug, Tropsnart, Banker and 1 other person Thank this. -
I am right there with you, I routinely don’t want anything over 1/2 ton on my rig but when it pays I will haul it. Those two dually’s paid double what 2 1/2 tons going to the same city paid. Occasionally in the past I have been assigned 2500 long bed 4x4’s diesels weighing nearly the same as these dually’s that paid what a 1500 did. If the 1500 paid crazy money I probably would have taken one for the team. In my opinion any 2500 or larger should be classified as a commercial vehicle which would bump it up to the higher rate and then more of us would deliver them.
