I'm about to go into panic mode.

    Good morning, how is everyone?

So I'm a recent cdl graduate headed to my first orientation in a few hours with Paschal Truck Lines. The recruiter informed me that I'll be doing a serpentine backing maneuver as a part of my skills test, but I've never done one. I've watched a few videos on YouTube several times trying to figure this out. Everyone is going around cones and she tells me I'll be backing around three trailers. Can anyone explain this maneuver to me please? Does anyone have any experience with PTL's orientation? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Did you do an offset backing maneuver in cdl School? If so then it's pretty much the same thing

Ahhh, I've never thought of it that way. Off set makes sense. That helps. I was losing my mind. Yes I've done off set. It's the continuous backing that bothers me. When I back I always stop before I turn my wheels. I seriously have to work on my oversteering.

Well, ask if they expect you to not stop rolling, most are looking for no pull ups, but stoping to ajust the wheel is ok, dont know about ptl,
