I've noticed an issue with my 2005 International 9400i. When I am using the engine breaks it develops a high pitched squealing/whining noise from the front right area of the engine. When I start accelerating it whines for a bit then goes away.

It's been doing it since I bought the truck but has been happening more frequently and more severe so I just wanted some ideas as to what I should start looking at.

If the air intercooler is leaking, you will hear a high pitched squeal during times of high turbo pressure. You might have it checked when you get a chance.

Like Heavy D said. Probably turbo mounting gasket. Run your fingertip around the perimeter and feel for a jagged edge. You can see it with a flashlight too.
