I prefer to cook in the truck it is healthier. I have a lunchbox cooker. I want a crock pot next for the truck. I Stop at Walmart from time to time and buy whatever I want to make. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Love homemade burritos and stews. I can eat them for days. I carry an electric fry pan so when I'm doing a restart and get a hotel room I cook meals to take when I hit the road again. And I am more refreshed cause I like staying out for 6 to 8 weeks. I buy some things at Walmart cause there cheaper than truck stops...oil, headlights, wiper blades ect. If I have to eat at trucks stop I stay away from fried foods and stick to subs and burger king burgers no fries.

Sapp Bros has WAY better pre-made salads than Flying J. Unfortunately, Sapp Bros doesn't have as many locations.

OK so after a while driving and checking road food spots I can tell you no wonder why Colon cancer is on 2nd place by number of death caused by cancer in United States

If you don't eat liquids like soups everyday this job will make you sick for the rest of your life.

but more or less better places that can be found around truck stops are:

    1. Bob Evans
    2. Old country store
    3. Moe's this is very rare, but sometimes I spot on billboards
    4. Taco bell (more or less better food)
    5. Queen Diery

Toll highways have always healthier food thatn free highways.

Pick your battles... I like Petro for breakfast, which was my normal daily meal choice. Normally had soup/sandwiches/rice for the other meals to save money. Even though there are not many left, I always would order liver and onions from the mom&pop truck stop diners.

eat some Asian food guys they taste #### good after all and lead to better health

I made some researched and surprised how it comes that Norway and Scandinavians are first by gut cancers. I have been in Sweden and people there take care themselves more than anywhere and food is clean same as air.

Most of the food supply is bad for you if it is in a can or processed, it's just not truck stop food. Just look around at people these days, most are obese because they eat so much of a thing we used to call food, but food is supposed to have nutritional value to it. The junk they call food today does not measure up.

As for the truck stop, go for the salad bar at Petro or T/A if you must.
