In my 7 years of living in Fort Mac, this is the 3rd or 4th time I can recall this bridge being hit. Measure your #### loads! There are perfectly good oversize load bypasses on all 6 overpasses between the south end of Fort Mac and Suncor. No excuse for it.

There may be NO excuse! But there's a ####GOOD reason!

I wish I still had pics of the machine that nailed it back in winter of 2012. 36k lb Cat forklift. Hit so hard it blew the mast mounting bolts clean off and drove it straight into the cab/ROPS. Only thing holding the mast on were the 2 tilt cylinders. Even managed to bend the fork tips 90 degrees. It sat in the yard at the shop I worked at for over a year before they hauled it away for scrap.

What company was on the door this time?
Let me see if I can guess... was it registered out of Brampton? -
Not sure who it was this time.

There's lots of new guys here in Ontario that decided to do flat bed. Some no what they are doing most don't have a clue and don't care about cargo securement or O/ D regulations.

My brother-in-law saw an excavator on a low boy take a chunk out of the Wabamun overpass. The guy pulled over, didn't see any real problem with the excavator, didn't adjust nothing, hopped back in and carried on. A few miles later he clipped the overhead lane signs in the six lane part after highway 43 before the 16/16a split. He just kept going. They dismantled the sign supports before it collapsed.

I've seen the aftermath of the giant module that hit the Suncor overpass a few years back. 3 pilot cars and the driver failed to notice it I guess.

There was an overpass on 16 in Gig Harbor WA that had a giant chunk missing for over a year.
When I was in Texas a forklift hit an overpass in Midland, did a fair bit of damage as well.
