If you are legal then Uship is not a place to get a load, I can't run for .50 a mile and when you read feedback they tell of some really bad stories. Uship is a bad joke and shippers loose money by using them. Bid a load then charge extra money, then what are you going to do, they have you......

what's wrong with a powerstroke?, I've got one and it still running strong at 657,000. Oil pressure is still mid term but I guess if you put a dummy in one and don't take care of it nothing will last. when giving advice you should know your facts before putting your foot in your mouth.

All you need on uship is a truck and that's it. They don't check DOT or MC# so you can out bid anyone on that board and run for .50 per mile. One run I noticed was a haul 5,000 pounds going 2249 miles and it went for $400.00 to a guy that had been running autos without 1,000,000 insurance but stated he had 300,000 insurance. Uship wont check anyone out as they say they are just a listing board. Uship is a joke and I don't see this as a board that anyone can make a living.

You need to supply UShip with DOT info as they are a brokerage. Check out their page.

That's not true, they tell you that they are not a brokerage firm and they don't have anything on file, check with safer system and you will see. Go to Uship and put in joe blow trucking and don't list DOT or MC# and you will see, they will set you up an account. Uship explains that they just bring shippers to transporters and is just a web site and nothing more. Brokers are required to be listed with safer system.

Get you foot out of your mouth, this is taken from Uship's web site now can you read?

uShip is not a transportation service provider (TSP), freight forwarder or broker. Our site acts as a venue where shippers and TSPs can meet and enter into agreements. We are not involved in the actual transaction between shippers and TSPs. As a result, we have no control over the quality, safety, or legal aspects of the transactions that take place on our website. uShip does not prequalify or validate the claims of TSPs including with respect to their licensure, insurance and registration. We and our website function solely as a neutral venue and digital clearinghouse where two parties may agree on a price for a particular type of service. We are the neutral venue for this connection between you and other members. We do not provide any endorsement for you or your services, you acknowledge and agree that we do not provide the services and we are not in any way responsible for assisting you in any manner with your provision of the services. We cannot and will not guarantee the ability of members to complete payment for any of the provided services. Furthermore, due to the difficulty of individual authentication, especially on the Internet, we cannot and will not in any manner verify or confirm the identity or ability of members to pay for the provided services. You acknowledge and agree that any and all communications, correspondence, verbal or written, or any warranties or representations, made with regard to the services are not provided by us and are specifically and solely between you and the other member. Because we are not involved in the actual transaction between shippers and TSPs, we have no control over the accuracy of listings, the ability of TSPs to transport items, or the ability of shippers to send items. We cannot ensure that a shipper or TSP will actually complete a shipment.

A letter of protest to Uship, Some people have brains then to others God just gave a mouth. "It is better to keep your mouth shut and let people thinkyou are dumb than to open it and confirm it".
    "
We find it incredulous that your company can continue a neutral status given your companies easy access to the information that can confirm a person/companies legal ability to operate a commercial transportation business on United States highways.

Remaining "neutral" while providing a venue for persons and/or companies to conduct illegal activities while your company is aware that such illegal activities are taking place is not a legal defense, especially when those parties providing said "neutral venue" are aware that accountability methods for verifying service providers authority to legally operate as a Motor Carriers/MC, Freight Forwarder/FF, Property Brokers do exist.

We have not looked at your companies' methods until recently. We are concerned UShip is facilitating a venue that is in direct contradiction to many of the safety and security initiatives rules and regulations mandates as set forth by U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
