I drive van mostly short haul in the Northeast . Normal deadhead is 25-50 miles . I'm always deadheading out of CT . I won't take their cheap freight . I can dead head 100 miles and make an extra 150 - 200 bucks on my next 250 mile run . With fuel low it's more than worth it .

It's always random , mostly around Hartford . You can get good rates coming in . Hell if you didn't Id never go in. CT is so unfriendly to trucks . Pay to park , no parking , the worse drivers etc .

Where's good rates into CT from? & give me an idea of "good". I just got a dry van the other day. Not something I ever done much of. I'd appreciate some pointers.

You can get 800-1000 flat rate from Harrisburg area to ct ,ma . 400-500 coming back out . Big difference right ? Never deadhead to CT . You'll be broke before you know it .

Oh. Well I'll do what I do, you keep doing what you do, sounds like we each have something that works better for us. I have yet to delve into van freight. Sounds like I should just stick with what I'm good at.
