That would all depend on the plan you choose, and the company.

    Let's say this.

If you bought Obamacare you will find about the first 10 to 14 thousand of your expenses is the deductable for family out of a ER or trauma center (These can rack up 100K in a week under certain extreme situations like a hyperbaric chamber) Most healthy people discard it and pay the annual fines to Taxes which I think stood at 650 first year advancing to a measly 2000 plus for a family. 5 times as cheap as the preminum each year you will pay.

18 of 25 coops do not stand anymore. Arkansas only has two providers if that. One is leaving. Another is coming.

Dental? I pay private delta dental each month top plan at 35 a month. Crowns are half price at 500 each tooth, extractions by oral surgery run about 1500 per instance and you pay about 3 to 600 cash. Root canals are similar, it's 1400 per tooth and you pay around 450 cash. Get the idea?

Insurance maxed out after about 2500 in payouts to your dental work. You will wait until the new year before continuing.

I spent about 25 years of my life never seeing a dentist. I spent the last 16 clearing the damage in the mouth, I still have a few thousand more to go.

When I had health insurance from FFE with the spouse we paid a couple hundred per month and then some for the top plan and insurance for death or injury. We made so much money that year that we did not give a #### if it was a thousand per month which it might be today.

Our last stint with insurance in a hospital work resulted in a 350 dollar a month insurance in addition to my own medicare charges. Both of these together cleared a 16,000 dollar to 24,000 dollar eye sight surgery for me. So it was worth it. Without it I wont be here.

I chose Ambetter through Obama care my deductable is $550 for 1 person and $1100 for our family of 3. Dr. Visit and medicine costs $1, $5 for a specialist. I can usually see my Dr the same day or a day after and it's close by my house. I live in Texas, if Ambetter is one of your choices it's well worth it. We pay less than $50 a month for our premium.

Or better yet... proclaim you love in god and get a plan through a christian based Health plan. They meet the Obama care requirements, and trends to be cheaper for a family.

I appreciate your thoughts and experiences in Premiums.

My position needs a further clarification. The doctors that do the work on me have a form that reject all Government insurance. It's cash or total private insurance that they will take. They do however have you take out a credit card that is pure medical with a line so you can pay off them over a few months. That has been a valuable tool in my case for these doctors. They were very good doctors and are worth it. The ones I use.

I think Obamacare is subsidized so if you are paying 100 or whatever it is, Im sure Uncle Sam is looking to cover two or three times that. The People still cannot get by.

When I look at the Canadian Coverage or that of Europe it's not that bad except in some areas it's pretty socalist. It might take you three months to get care. Our Little Rock VA is sometimes like that. They have been good, but going from say 150 vets per day to around 700 per day today due to the wars since 2003 in our area has tripled our parking and there is still no spaces to take. Because of concealed weapons laws vs federal property, we park off site.

We just finished a 10 hour tour at the ER there fighting off a migraine for spouse when our ordinary over the counter stuff failed her totally. It took a half gallon IV and a mix of Torodol to get it stopped plus a dark bay to rest in. They did good.

I have Obamacare and live Texas--I have a $1000 per year out of pocket and no deductible--I pay only $48 per month for single coverage because of my salary. I chose a plan that was accepted by Kelsey Seybold clinics in Houston, TX. I was paying $173 last year for Blue Cross- Blue Shield PPO but BCBS decided to eliminate PPO's in Texas so I had to find a plan that was accepted by Kelsey--Obama Care has been a God send as I have high blood pressure and before the ACA insurance companies were able to use my high blood as a pre existing condition--Many people want to eliminate the ACA only because it was passed during the Obama administration--why not keep what is good with the ACA and fix what is wrong--I am an owner operator---Have u looked at what is happening in Oklahoma?? I think they are considering the ACA because of high costs-

I have had a heart attack and the CDL physical requires me to have a stress test done every 2 years. The other years I just need a cardiologist to sign off on my physical. I had Humana but with a $50 specialist copay, I asked for something cheaper. Ambetter has been good so far. I am also an owner operator.

thanks joec111 I had insurance through my company as a company driver 5 years ago-- when I started to lease through the company I was given a choice of companies I could get my insurance from--unfortunately all the companies used my pre-existing condition against me so I had to use the county insurance or wait or pay a doctor for each visit because the insurance companies rates were so high--I know my rates will go up when I start to make more money but what is your health worth--many people put down the ACA and never check out the website--To keep my current provider Kelsey I had to research to find a insurance (Community Health) that Kelsey would take. People are putting down the ACA without doing their research--You don't have to put in personal info to check coverage--You only have to put in state, county or parish, your age (and age of dependents), and adjusted gross income to see what your payments will be. IF you like your coverage you don't have to participate, but why not make a comparison. I just saw a cardiologist as a preventive measure--I could not be happier with my insurance and thanks to all the elected officials for at least starting the ball rolling in the right direction. The ACA has allowed small business owners like myself to have insurance while we pursue our dreams
