    50%? Who does that. I'd never move freight it if I was taking 50% of the profit.

    Ok, in that case, figure 0.50 per mile per foot that will be the rate you pay to the truck, and add your fee on top of that, whatever that may be

    Do you know what a beam trailer is? and what it is used for?

    My guess is No....

    I will try and help you along a little...

    first, you need to know the dimensions of the piece you are moving, notice I said piece not pieces.

    second, you need to know how much it wieghs.

    third, does the piece run?

    where is it going, does it need permits,escorts, bucket trucks, police escorts...

    You are playing in specialized part of the industry and it sounds like you have no idea what is required to move this load. This kind of broker, combined with guys on the tranpsort side knowing even less, lead to disaster - low rates, bridge strikes, accidents just a few of the possible outcomes.
