Salvage yard in your area region. Where is that? If you have the same brand of axle and brake shoes they should change out with hubs, drums, and wheels but there are exceptions. Why do you want to waste all that money?

A retired buddy of mine wants to give me an entire set of wheels, all 6 Alcoa, if I can make the conversion.
I am in the Akron/Canton, Ohio area. -
That makes some since and maybe someone can give you an outfit or two in the area. If you know your axle - brake manufacture and post that an individual may have it and make you a deal.

Call gabe at akron medina truck parts.

Will do thanks guys!!

They should be same brakes and drums. Just change hub out and your good.

Well a 4700 or 4900 was built so many different configurations. All years. I used to work at a IH dealer. You think your class 8 is customizable. The 4700, 4900 is about the most versatile chassie. I quit about 2001? They would full custom build anything in that line. Never seen them say no. I could go
into details for days. But average everyday chassis shouldnt be hard. Still have hydraulic disc, air s-cam drum. Hydraulic drum. Need to know brake time and bearing numbers. Not to mention the different axles available. Probally a standard dana. But never know. -

Its all how they are ordered. You could get daytons hub into mid 2000's
