Left USX yet? Lot of companies will not fill out the DAC report until a couple of weeks have lapsed since your last employment with them. Other accidents may be entered already or not. But these megas have a real spiteful streek and will clock a DAC for a preventable after a driver leaves just for the spite of it.

If they called it a non-preventable get the paper work for it now so you can use it for evidence should you DAC gets clocked.

I had my own authority during the accident. running for a broker IC. No reason to screw myself with no lube on the DAC. I'm just hearing what someone else would have to say. I will have an answer Monday. I'm trying to Get some more money in the household. I know another driver doing usx dedicated bringing home decent money and home time and I wanted to take that offer as well

If it comes to not getting hired because of a steer tire blowout, I'd, A) take a swing at whoever was questioning it, and B) find a different line of work.

Honestly man, that is something that is going to have major ramifications for the duration of your driving career. Even after three years. You need to be relentless in fighting that ########.

I've seen more trucks stopped safely on the shoulder with blown steers than I have trucks in the ditch for the same reason...which leads me to believe it is possible to control when it happens.

Were you running against the governor when it blew? Was your first reaction to hit the brakes? If so, preventable. If you had been able to throttle up when it blew to remain in control and then start slowing, you wouldn't have ended up in the ditch.
