Let me start off by saying that this thread is not for the negative people that are here bashing lease/purchase drivers. From what I've learned getting a truck through Schneider Finance isn't any more expensive than the drivers I've talked to that bought them outside of SFI. SFI doesn't jack the price up like other carriers do, at least from what I've seen. I really don't care if you don't agree with my decision to get a truck from SFI & join the Choice boys at Schneider. Don't tell me how to live my life, I'm not telling you how to live yours. Agreed? Agreed. Ok.
Now, I will take advice & correction from other Choice ICs. I'm open minded & I willing to learn what I don't know. With that being said, I'm starting the process tonight & tomorrow of getting the paperwork started for this new journey. My wife will be along to help out with finding loads & bookkeeping. My name is Ron, I'm 44 & I live in Oklahoma. I've been driving for 18 years & I've pulled everything except a tanker & a bull rack. My wife & I love to fish & camp & I'm a big University of Oklahoma football fan. I also like to fish bass tournaments. I've learned a lot from the guys here & the talk I had on the phone with one of them. I'm excited & anxious to get started. It works out for me that the process takes a bit of time because I can't leave my current job for at least 3 weeks. I just wanted to say hello & introduce myself since I will be pestering you guys here.
I've made my choice...it's my turn.

Welcome enjoy the cookies on your first day of orientation, after you sign the new dreaded contract and paperwork for your truck they take the cookies away. What truck are you going with?
-
Those are some AMAZING cookies btwtazman74, T_TRUCKER., RStewart and 1 other person Thank this. -
Lol. What kind of cookies?
Probably going with a Cascadia. Would like a gently used KW, but not sure about the $2k down. -
1 one year lease on a new Shaker I think is the smart/least risk route....

There just like subway chocolate chip cookies. They are OK. In my orientation one dude bogarted all the cookies and put them in his backpack. That dude had cookies every day.
RStewart Thanks this. -
