You have like either 60 or 90 days from your hire date to get your hazmat. I was told it was 60 days from my first FM, 90 from my 2nd FM. (you get a trainer FM at first).

I was suppose to be transfered to intermodal Aug 1 so I asked fm is it still a go and he asked me to call him so he puts me on conference call with his boss to tell me that they are some kind of transferring freeze???? That they are not giving me the run around..sounds like it to me..
Erick chapel Thanks this. -
Transferring freeze?? Thats wierd. Did they atleast give u a date? Or said hold tight?
Erick chapel Thanks this. -
They said to hold tight. I been holding tight for almost a month now. When they were so called waiting to fill my position and now the time comes he said he would release me they is a transferring freeze.

Jus give em time, I guess. It took me about 5 months for my transfer to happen. Give em a couple of weeks and check on it.

does anyone know about doing the intermodal out of saint louis? of course I was told by the recruiter I would have saturday and sunday off and 2 or 3 nights at home during the week since I live real close. just wondering if im getting smoke up the back side or if it's the truth for the saint louis terminal.
Erick chapel Thanks this. -
I have no idea about st. louis but that does sound right. When I ran regoinal I was off on the weekend and got thru the house a couple times a week. The rail isnt too far from the terminal either.
