Was doing some surfing and found that Jim Palmer has a lease or lease purchase, they pay on a percentage and 100% fsc, was just wondering if anybody is doing this and if it's working out, not interested in turning this into a pro/con thread, there is enough of that already. I do know that they were bought out by Wil-Trans. TIA

Do you know if that is % pay loaded miles or full (out & back) miles?

It is 70 percent of the load plus fuel surcharge for the truck and the trailer. You buy your reefer fuel. They do not pay per mile. It is per load.

Was told by a recruiter on Friday that its 70% of the load with 100 percent fuel surcharge. 5 year walkaway lease with payments of $979 per week, first payment deferred for a week. Escrow account of 5 cents a mile and you get that back at the end of lease if not used which is around 5000-6000 dollars. $2500 buy out at the end of the lease. 4500-5000 weekly gross revenue so minus their 30 percent off that. net after expenses 1200-1400 week. they want you to stay out 3 weeks minimum. 10,000 dollar retention bonus paid every 5 years your with the company. Trucks are 2016 Pete 579 and 2016 Freightliner Cascadia's. Nice looking trucks. They do pull Prime loads as they are with Wiltrans and Wiltrans pulls for Prime, Inc.

$979.00 is the truck payment only. The fixed costs per week is $1203.00, give or take a buck.

The last time I was in Missoula I was talking with a L/O and that is what he told me his fixed costs were every week. Im assuming it included his plates and qualcom and maint fund too. Is more than I am interested in paying.

    blue T Thanks this.
