KW speedometers

I have a 94 KW W900. How does the speedometer get the signal; thru the ECM or directly from a speed sensor on the trans? My speedometer and odometer are both out.

Check the output shaft of the transmission. How many speed sensors does it have? That will probably answer that for you.
