the wife and I were wondering if it's worth getting a Trk and going over to the broker side, we are looking to better our selfs money wise..
At this time and age with all the B/S it's time to make a change, kids are
Grown up so it's just us and the road...we haven't won the lottery yet
And I would just get caught if I robbed a bank, so there u have it,
So is it worth getting Trk????

kinda confusing are you wanting to be a broker or a owner operator, commonly called a BCO at landstar

If you are going to buy a trk/trl my advice is lease on with L/S vs the broker side. Better money, better loads. If you have exp and can buy your own it is possible to do well with L/S.

How can there be money off their broker board??
I just called on a 13axle ld. from Perioa,Il going to Nv.
All they want to pay is just a little over 14000.00 gross.
Plus I need a deck insert.
Then you pay the permits/ fuel / escorts. ld. rted is 1615 miles.
Way less than 10.00 a mile gross. Plus my bounce to Il. then out of Nv...

They need to at least bump it to a mim. of 20000.00

I wouldn't base your Landstar yes or no decision off one load......I was in the system for over 7 years and there is money to be made IF you know where to find it..

I understand that, but I get upset when some not all of the o/o with landstar are telling me how the company I'm with is cut throats.
Then we try to get this ld. which would help me out and they insult us with a low rate.
    Just venting I guess.
I just checked this morning 5/19/ and they still have those 3 lds. posted..

guess why they are still posted !!

the good payed loads never make it to the open board. they are gone as soon as the load alerts are out.

what do you think you will find on the open board ?
    the good loads ?

why would we have the BCO board ?
what sence would id make when everyone can book our loads to be a BCO ?
    think about it.
