The $27.25 for elog is only once a month, not weekly. Usually the monthly charges come out of the first settlement of the month. If you get physical damage insurance through LS it is monthly and the amount depends on value of your equipment.

So I should budget closer to 200 per week? Just getting all my ducks in a row.

You'll still be under $100 a week for LS specific fees and insurance with ELD at $31 a month. Physical Damage is up to you and or your lender. I have mine through OOIDA as they are much cheaper for me, but I've had them for 13 years with no losses. If you have a $10,000 truck, once you get on your feet, you might decide 30-50 a month to insure against loss isn't worth it. If you have a loan, you will be required to buy it from someone. It costs between 3-5% of truck value, per year. 100,000 truck will be 3-5,000 a year.

For any BCO's that didn't know, they are now accepting unladen insurance from 1st guard and not just Gallagher. It's a little bit cheaper and there physical damage is way cheaper than Gallagher's and I got better coverage.

That is good. They must have just started that. I got a quote from 1st Guard and Landstar said they wouldn't accept it. That was about 3 months ago though.

They just started it around October 1st. I saved almost 30% on my physical damage thru them. Couldn't believe the numbers she was reading to me after what I was paying Gallagher and the coverage was a little better.

does anyone know if you were to supply your own van trailer, would it have to be a 53 or would a 48 suffice?
