    I'm doing some quick research for a relative of mine that wants to get into more LTL/expedited types of shipping (especially on a local scale) for family reasons. I was wondering what kind of businesses or industries provide most of these loads? Thanks a lot.

    That may prove to be a tricky way for one truck to make a living, due to efficiency. One shipper may have freight going 3 different directions and all their customers will want delivery on the same day.

    Also, such shipments are often set up from the receiving end.
