It may be no big deal but..
I went to some place for fuel sign above pump said diesel.
So I fueled as usual. But when I printed receipt it said biodiesel. Is this a big deal?
I've never put biodiesel in any truck. I have a 2012 prostar.
All handles at the pumps were black instead of usual yellow.
Hope this stuff won't mess up my engine. Apparently boss uses that place all the time.
Am I over reacting or is it something to be concerned about.
I put in 300l.
Thanks
May be nothing but worried... please help

Most of what we get nowadays is a blend of biodiesel. No bubbles no troubles. You're biggest problem is that you're driving a prostar!!! Be safe driver.
Puppage Thanks this. -
In my experience, biodiesel has more gelling issues at cold temperatures than straight #1 or #2, but with that being said, my old '06 Pete with an ISX got about 2/10th mpg better with 20% biodiesel blend. Not sure why. If it's really crappy biodiesel, it might clog fuel filters, but if not I wouldn't worry about it.

Lol. Thanks for quick reply and for the laugh. She's a good truck now all the repairs have been done.

Ok thanks. I got freaked out there for a bit. And it's nice and warm where I am finally so good maybe. It'll last me a lil while longer.

I avoid bio diesel. Clogs my filters fast and I get poor mileage.

How do you avoid biodiesel?

Hi kenworthcanuck, Willie Nelson thanks you, although, it's a little too late for "BioWillie".

Never count on the color of the pump handle to determine what fuel is coming out of the nozzle.
