This is by far the worst company I've worked for in the 36 years I've been a driver. All the texas only trucks have well over a million miles and routinely break down. The trailers are literally falling apart and often get rejected at the shipper. They tell you in orientation you will get paid milage, but texas fleet gets a flat rate. So Temple TX to New Braunfels TX (116 miles) pays 70 bucks. Temple TX to Houston TX (187 miles) pays 70 bucks. They don't pay deadhead on these loads in the event you don't get a back haul. If you get a backhaul you get no deadhead miles to your back haul. Mandatory safety meetings on your time off are not paid, even though texas labor law states that saftey meetings fall under training and must pay at least minium wage for all hours in training. Texas and OTR dispatch are clueless. My OTR dispatch didn't even know what gross weight was or what I could legally axle. If you're out on the road, in a jam at a shipper/receiver and its time for dispatch to go home, they go home and leave you high and dry.
