Huh! Monaca is the main terminal. This thread is the first time I ever heard or read anything negative about PGT. I talked to several of their drivers and other employees, including one I know personally, and everyone had good stuff to say but hey, things in this industry can change at the drop of the hat so I always like to learn as much as possible about everything in this industry and the companies playing a role. Of course, opinions are as many as there are people willing to share. Thanks for the information.

Np. Just passing what I have "heard" and we all know how that goes. So far I am happy here and have no complaints.

Well I have finished week 1 and it was a great learning experience. My trainer showed me a lot and I was going to stay with him 1 more week, but we went to Monaca to get his truck serviced on fri and the training department saw me walking around and said I they wanted to switch my trainer because they needed my current one for a student who needs more help than me and he is the best one they have. Also they said it will be good for me because my new trainer is from the building materials division so I can learn that side since that's where I will be placed. I will give more updates soon.

The recruiter did ask me what division I would like and I chose, however others did not get a choice. I am paid percentage and from what I gather I will make out pretty well. Hopefully around 1-1.3K a month.

why did you choose building supplys over steel? i would be really curious to see what kind of rates PGT is getting because they came and cut our rate at one of our customers #### near in half...just saying...

1000-1300 and sorry I mean a week. I chose the division because of my home being in NC it will allow me to run that area rather than mostly in the north. Also I will not be strictly on building materials I will get a mixture of steel products as well. I am free to switch divisions any time so I am just going to see how it goes and once I know the business a little better I will be able to make a better decision.
