And THEN, he gives me an 1,100 mile trip. Compensating for something...?

Soon I will wake and the rainy Chicagoland will be a bad memory...

But hey! I talked to a driver yesterday who just returned from a trip from the Denver area. He had to use his fancy super-single chains! Isn't it near June...?

Some things are best left alone. This is another one of them.

I hate Chicagoland traffic. Always have, always will.

My dispatcher sent me a QC message asking if I still had my chains on the truck. Then I got a load from Walla Walla WA to Zanesville Ohio..is it still snowing out there??

I talked to a driver at a tuck stop a couple of days ago. He had just returned from a trip to Denver and used his new, unusual super-single chains, so I guess there's still snow out there. I'm in North Dakota with a load of onions and there's a flood watch for this area...and onions don't like being wet, so I spent 3½ hours in the rain tarping like I've never tarped before.

I'm wet, hungry, miserable, and out of hours. And food. But I do have water...the drinkable kind!

Mtn Gal and skellr Thank this.

Turns out they are taking the chains off the truck for the summer.
