I know y'all see these type post a lot but wanted to put my experience with swift down from day one to maybe help anyone that may be considering this company. I'm in Atlanta for orientation. I'm not going into great detail bout that it is just what you would expect. The red roof inn is where we room. It not best but it not bad. They only provide lunch so bring money to eat. Of course red roof has coffee and breakfast items. The folks are nice for the most part. The main piece of info I got to day is the fact that swift is going all auto transmissions. I personally think auto sucks. I want to feel the truck and think u have better control of truck with manual trans. I'm sure it will take time to turn the fleets over but that will for sure shorten my stay with swift. I rode by to look at the terminal this morning before class and was impressed at the size. Was told at terminal was the fourth largest swift has and the largest one east of Mississippi.

If you insist on manual -Better buy your own truck... The results are in, Automatics are coming.

Welcome aboard!!
Don't get too impressed with the size of any of the terminals. It has no bearing on the quality of your future experiences such as dealing with the shop or window people. Big usually means longer wait times for everything and an over abundance of bad attitudes.
Often, smaller is better within Swifts Empire.SouthernLady, sisterannie, DJ Hughes and 1 other person Thank this. -
