Hey everyone. I'm a soon to be new grad in central Indiana area. Need home time with decent pay. Would like to be home at least a couple of nights through the week and weekends. My dream is to drive tanker. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Try this website www.liquidtrucking.com .If you wanna get home a couple days a week do not apply for OTR regional or dedicated would be the route to go.Schneider has a tanker division. But during training you may need to stay out for a mknth or so.

Food service probably lots of home time:
    Sygma Network
    US Food
    Golden State Foods
    Reinhart Foodservice
    Gordon Foodservice
    McLane Company
    Lily Transportation

    Weekends home:
    NTB Trucking
    Veriha Trucking
    McElroy
    DLI (www.drivedli.com)
    Southeastern Freight
    Old Dominion

Every company on both lists hire new cdl grads. If website has "experience required" just ignore and apply anyway.
Some tanker outfits might hire you that do local work. Just have to knock on doors and find out. One new cdl grad landed a local hazmat/tanker job in Ft. Wayne, but he didn't post the name of the company.

Pilot is supposed to be good to drive for and you'd get home.
