That should be a Gen 1 MX-13. Problematic water pump seals and belt tensioners. The secondary fuel filter also doesn't like coming off once it's on there, though I've never seen one to the point where it stripped threads or anything of that sort. Same Holset aftertreatment system you'd get with a Cummins, although the connector on the dosing injector is different, as the location is very different. Davie 4 software is extremely Internet dependent, and you NEVER want to use it (especially for updates) with a shaky Internet connection. 12.9 liter engine, so not particularly a powerhouse. IIRC, not cruised as low as the Gen 2 engines... they have an exhaust brake, which I'm none too fond of. Seemed to work best with either the 25 micron Davco or that proprietary PACCAR fuel/water separator (although the latter seems to have issues with the water in fuel sensor taking a crap). Not a whole lot of places will have software for it, SCR, for some odd reason, considering its the same one Cummins uses, does't seem to have the tendency to crap out within the warranty period which it does with the Cummins. Dosing injectors typically need to be changed ~400k.. typical for a Holset system.
