Well good luck getting a fed there. I don't think you would just tell that to a LEO.

 

Just after I was discharged from the Air Force I came VERY close to accepting a job offer to become a Georgia Public Service Enforcement officer. I decided not to because I did not like the Georgia Merit System Pay scales at the time. I have a huge amount of friends whom are cops, DOT officers or retired.

 

DOT officers work for the state and I had the exact same jurisdiction they did.

 

I don't think those morons were ever brave enough to say that to a cops face. Remember I am taking about false bravado. However I think about that moron whom put up on youtube him refusing to help an enforcement officer and it makes me wonder!

And you could enforce law the same as they. The only difference between a MCSAP/CVSA/DOT officer and a regular cop as far as trucks and truckers go is the latter can NOT officially place a truck or driver OOS.

I want to edit this before half of TTR gets a severe case of verbosity and falls all over themselves getting to that enter key. In most situations local cops and NON certified cops wont mess with this because they are not really trained in DOT law and/or are told by their higher ups to let the certified cops do it. My comment still stands though because a non certified cop can bring any DOT related case to court.

 

I was about to butt in. You always come across as a reasonable man, I thought you might have misread his post. I believe he was speaking of others saying that, not himself.
