I am currently deciding on a company out of cdl school. The honest opinion what do werner drivers make out of school. I need to know so I can budget myself without putting my expectations high. Not the 450 a week, but actual cpm checks.
Pay an benefits

The CPM is different for each account... getting on a dedicated account has the best pay...
The thing with werner is you got to get your bonuses.. especially your safety and on time bonuses.. so do not hit anything and never deliver a load late... late loads are bad and hurt your paycheck... if something comes up, weather, mechanical, alien abduction, whatever and you are not going to make it on time.. you have to send the delayed macro as soon as possible so your delivery time will be changed and you will not have a late load... wnich is really common sense.. but a lot of drivers fail to do it and get slapped with a late load.. which loses you the on time bo use fkr the who,e week... ouch...BostonTanker and bama007 Thank this. -
If the choice was Werner or the unknown, I'd choose the unknown. There's a lot of truck companies looking for drivers. Some of these companies are even good companies.

I'm on Dollar Tree in CT. 193 a trailer, and 42 cpm round trip. Get $50 in my check every week for being on time. Great health insurance, home weekly if I want. It's hard work. I'm still getting used to the account and it's quirks. If you do your job, keep your truck safe, don't wreck you'll be fine.
I didn't care for otr. Even training there were some delays I REALLY didn't care for. Like JT loads, get there by x, it's not loaded till Y. Meanwhile there goes my clock.
Happened more than I cared for and it's unpaid time.
Get a dedicated. Way better. More $$, less bullSHOJim Thanks this.
