Never known anyone in your situation. Known a few that have DUIs without a CDL. I know their auto insurance went up drastically. Anywhere from 3 to 4 times as high as normal. If that holds true to truck insurance, you're looking at $45,000 to $60,000 per year.
The world does a pretty good job of making you squirm for several years after a DUI. There really isn't anyway to make life easier or cheaper. No easy work arounds that someone else hasn't already tried. You're pretty much screwed until enough time passes that the world can trust you again.Night Prowler Thanks this. -
Insurance? Do you have a company to get on with? Get ready to fork over a hefty amount whether commercial or personal. The quote depends on the provider.

There's not a company out there that will someone on with a DUI that new. He's probably looking at 10 years at the soonest. Some less desirable companies maybe 5 years. Either uninsurable as an independent or so expensive it would be prohibitive. The last place I'd be asking is on the internet.
