Eagle is an even bigger joke...cheap customer freight pool, cheap broker freight and you're limited to work with brokers who are approved by Eagle...on a newer truck after trailer payment and insurance on both plus
everything else you're looking at $1030 each week before you run 1 mile. Did I mention that you pay for everything, scales, tolls, plates, permits, and lumpers too when needed...oh yeah no fuel surcharge. What makes things worse loads are live on both ends, good luck finding one of those on a Sat or Sun so you can wind up sitting all weekend if your not careful with your schedule. Eagle and the leasing company are both owned by Celadon. Horrible situation to be in look elsewhere before this outfit...

im not really sure where so of the guys in the post get their taxes done but you need to find a new tax man the 4 yrs i ran as a O/O i didnt pay over 1500. at the end of the year. there is so many deductions as an O/O. I deducted every dine i spent on the road, did the same as a company driver. Sorry but some of you are losing money just on your taxes alone. Also all the money you spend on a L/P truck is deductable. and as far as western express that a big NO NO.

I will be calling on monday. Just tired of driving for o/o ... when they don't pay you it leaves one in an awful bind. Plus maintenence issues. Thanks for the info.

In all honesty I would go to Hirschbach sooner than I would go to RTI. They are owned by the same family.
