I live in Los Angeles area and am thinking about going to Schneider choice. What's the freight in Cali and western states like? Texas?
Schneider choice, Cali and west rates?

The rates running around cali aren't that bad...generally great running north to the NW or Utah and cheap headed back...as far Texas, rates are pretty decent running within and to neighboring states and back...
crisb72 Thanks this. -
I've been approved and now I'm just trying to figure out what's best. What bothers me is I can't get a look at the load board to get an idea. Would like to run primarily Cali, Oregon and out to Texas. Thanks for your input.

Out of la you'll get a decent rate to the nw to slc and Phoenix. Out of those areas the average rate back to la is 88 to 99cpm

It's so bad out there i won't run my truck out there and I live out there . I leave my truck in Midwest and fly back and forth.crisb72 Thanks this. -
From what I've seen its a no but not from experience just from looking.crisb72 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info guys. In your opinions is it possible to gross 70-80k after fixed costs and fuel?

News flash..it's ran pretty #### close to that figure. ...you actually need to come out here and experience it...you consistently claim you can't make $$ in Southeast, the plains, and west only northeast. ..that's a big bunch of BS...redoctober83 and crisb72 Thank this. -
Loads out of Cali are always very good but what good is say $2 to AZ or OR if you have to come back for $0.90?
When I look that's what I see soo that's what I'm basing things off of.
Not saying I'm right or wrong, I only know what I see on the board.
