I finished a 160 hr class last week. I will say they did a nice job preparing me for the CDL tests.
This school allows you to prepare for all phases for your permit and CDL; hazmat, and doubles-triples. They have many videos... some outdated but definitely helped.
The main instructor Warren is hilarious and keeps the training entertaining as it can get tiresome. We went over:
Air Brakes
Air Suspension
Defensive driving
Paper Log Book
Coupling and Uncoupling
Extensive Pre-trip
Post trip
Straight backing
Off-set
Parallel
I parked the trailer a few times
Road TIme (great instruction)
Trip Planning
I must say the money I spent was well worth it. If you are in the vicinity and need classes. Star trucking is a good one.
