Definitely want to eliminate inductance from the equation so I would recommend a carbon film resistor.

Was off duty driving in my 4-wheeler on GA Hwy 20 between Cartersville and Canton. Keyed up my 655 for a radio check and a guy about 4 miles away asked if I was on a base station. That's what I'm talkin' about lol

Ah heck I wasnt excited although north GA is pretty hilly too. I just didnt feel like telling the guy to wait until I was 18 miles away from him lol. It was a short trip in other words

 

Shows how well rabbi can read a post... no antenna stud invovled no galaxy 98v. Involved and no mark hard drive sherman involved... stinger dropped on my key down antenna and jacked up my swrs. Knocked out a mosfet on my magnum s980.... don't make a statement or post that has no truth to it !!!
