18 hours since being empty. I don't know if the weather is impacting freight , but sitting until afternoon to start my day is not ideal

Asked to deadhead to Birmingham to relay a Ford load to NC. Due by noon. Driver is supposed to be here at 1am, we will see. It gives me another 500 miles and the weekend to run back to MI.
-
Out of curiosity, I asked how many loaded miles I ran last year.
118,707 roughly.
That works out to about 2283 a week over. 52 weeks.
I'll be curious to see what this years total is to compare. -
As I feared, it went down to the wire to find a load out of the south.
Finally, when all seemed lost, I have a Gatorade load from ATL to Ohio. Granted it's 370 miles to go get that load, but I'll take it.
They had to work hard to get me home. My med card expires on Wednesday -
Do you get paid deadhead miles?
Wickedfire77 Thanks this. -
I'd be complaining a lot more if I didn't.DenaliDad and popcorn169 Thank this. -
That is a godsend I get paid percentage and I pick my own loads and I can only complain about myself if I have a long dead head.
RERM and Wickedfire77 Thank this. -
I'm live loading my would be/should have been pre loaded trailer

Headed to Columbus Ohio to drop Gatorade . That puts me in striking distance of home . Good thing too , my med card expires on 6/1. I thought it expired on 6/6. Good thing I didn't wait again to go home and set my doc appt for the 5th .
I haven't been home in nearly 6 weeks . I'm so not used to being gone this long .
Got to play catch up from the accident .
